כִּֽי־כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה הִנְנִ֣י נֹטֶֽה־אֵ֠לֶיהָ כְּנָהָ֨ר שָׁל֜וֹם וּכְנַ֧חַל שׁוֹטֵ֛ף כְּב֥וֹד גּוֹיִ֖ם וִֽינַקְתֶּ֑ם עַל־צַד֙ תִּנָּשֵׂ֔אוּ וְעַל־בִּרְכַּ֖יִם תְּשָׁעֳשָֽׁעוּ׃
Denn also spricht der Herr: Ich lenke ihr wie einen Fluss den Frieden zu, und wie einen flutenden Strom den Reichtum der Völker, dass ihr sauget. Auf dem Arm werdet ihr getragen und auf den Knien geliebkost.

I shall extend to Zion peace like a river, etc. 20I. E. read חיל גוים instead of כבוד הגוים of our editions of the Bible; both mean the same. Comp. Hebr. Bib. cum varietate lect., ed. Doederlein.חיל means property; comp. החיל הזה this wealth (Deut. 8:17).
