הֵ֣ן ׀ אֶ֣רֶץ כַּשְׂדִּ֗ים זֶ֤ה הָעָם֙ לֹ֣א הָיָ֔ה אַשּׁ֖וּר יְסָדָ֣הּ לְצִיִּ֑ים הֵקִ֣ימוּ בחיניו [בַחוּנָ֗יו] עֹרְרוּ֙ אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֔יהָ שָׂמָ֖הּ לְמַפֵּלָֽה׃
Das Land der Chaldäer — dieses Volk, das nichts gewesen, Assyrien hat es für Wüstenbewohner gegründet, — es hat seine Warttürme aufgerichtet, zerrüttet ihre Paläste, wandelte sie in Trümmer.
