וְכָל־הָאָ֗רֶץ בּוֹכִים֙ ק֣וֹל גָּד֔וֹל וְכָל־הָעָ֖ם עֹֽבְרִ֑ים וְהַמֶּ֗לֶךְ עֹבֵר֙ בְּנַ֣חַל קִדְר֔וֹן וְכָל־הָעָם֙ עֹבְרִ֔ים עַל־פְּנֵי־דֶ֖רֶךְ אֶת־הַמִּדְבָּֽר׃
Und das ganze Land weinte mit lauter Stimme, als alle Leute übergingen; und als der König über den Bach Kidron ging, gingen alle Leute hinüber in Richtung des Weges der Wüste.

And all the people were passing. From the king and onwards according to his location they are called passers by.8Even though he was also passing by, since they were ahead of him, they are called passers by relative to his location.
