וַיִּשְׁתַּ֙חוּ֙ אַבְרָהָ֔ם לִפְנֵ֖י עַ֥ם הָאָֽרֶץ׃

And Abraham bowed down before the people of the land.

וישתחו אברהם, to Efron before the assembled people.

Avraham bowed. He bowed to them to acknowledge that it was in their honor that Ephron consented.
