Commentary for II Chronicles 36:1

וַיִּקְחוּ֙ עַם־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֶת־יְהוֹאָחָ֖ז בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּ֑הוּ וַיַּמְלִיכֻ֥הוּ תַֽחַת־אָבִ֖יו בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father’s stead in Jerusalem.

and made him king instead of his father although Jehoiakim his brother was twenty-one months his senior.
