Commentary for II Chronicles 4:10
וְאֶת־הַיָּ֗ם נָתַ֞ן מִכֶּ֧תֶף הַיְמָנִ֛ית קֵ֖דְמָה מִמּ֥וּל נֶֽגְבָּה׃
And he set the sea on the right side [of the house] eastward, toward the south.
Rashi on II Chronicles
from the right side eastward, opposite the south He distanced it from the east, from opposite the entrance to the south of the forecourt, because it is neither respectful nor fitting that they should immerse themselves opposite the entrance of the vestibule.
