Isaiah 43:1 Commentary: Rashi & Ibn Ezra

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, And He that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name, thou art Mine.

Ibn Ezra on Isaiah

I have called you by My name. I have given you a great distinction; comp. I have called by name Bezaleel (Ex. 31:2); and the distinction is further described in the words thou art mine.
