פירוש על ישעיהו 26:9

[With] my soul I longed for You in my exile, which resembles night, to perform these.

נפשי My soul, that is, the thought of my soul,⁸A. V., With my soul, with my spirit. אויתיך I desired thee, and אשחרך Will I seek thee early, are, according to I. E., the thoughts which fill the soul and spirit of the righteous, and are, therefore, by a kind of metonymy, called their soul and spirit. was בלילה אויתיך I have desired Thee in the night;

even [with] my spirit within me I beseeched you I beseeched You for all this. Why? Because, when Your judgments come to the earth, when you execute justice upon the wicked.
