I will make waste, etc. How can they think²⁶The form חשבו is to be emended into the future יחשבו ; as may be inferred from the succeeding future והלא יראו. thus? Do they not see, that I lay waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs, and make rivers into islands, that people can dwell therein.
