וְעָבְרָ֣ה הָעֲבָרָ֗ה לַֽעֲבִיר֙ אֶת־בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְלַעֲשׂ֥וֹת הַטּ֖וֹב בעינו [בְּעֵינָ֑יו] וְשִׁמְעִ֣י בֶן־גֵּרָ֗א נָפַל֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ בְּעָבְר֖וֹ בַּיַּרְדֵּֽן׃
Perahu penyeberangan pun menyeberang untuk membawa keluarga raja ke seberang dan untuk melakukan apa yang dipandangnya baik. Simei bin Gera bersujud di hadapan raja ketika raja hendak menyeberangi Sungai Yordan.
