Air yang banyak tidak dapat memadamkan cinta itu, dan sungai-sungai tidak dapat menghanyutkannya; sekalipun seseorang memberikan seluruh harta rumahnya untuk cinta itu, ia pasti akan dihina habis-habisan.
Ohr Ne'erav
[My soul weeps] in secret places for your pride (Jer. 13:17) and is faint all the day (Lam. 1:13). The altar of the wicked is an abomination (Prov. 21:27). Yet despite this, many waters cannot quench love (Song 8:7), for upright are the ways of the Lord (Hos. 14:10). He will judge the poor of the people (Ps. 72:4), He will establish peace (Isa. 26:12). When He speaks He will overcome the mighty (Eccles. 10:10) for His people and His pious ones.
Sha'arei Kedusha
In Zohar Parshat Shelach it states,376Zohar III 168b “The head of the academy began and said: Happy is he who makes himself small in this world. How great will he be in the coming world! One who is small in his own eyes is great, and one who is great in his own eyes is small!” It similarly states in Zohar Terumah,377Zohar II 166a-b “Why is he called Yechezkel the son of Buzi (בוזי)?378The term “Boz-בוז” means “scorn” as in the verse (Song of Songs 8:7), “He would be scorned to the extreme-Boz Yavozu Lo-בוז יבוזו לו.” The Zohar thus negates the implication that the prophet Yechezkel was from a scornful family. Because [for the sake of HaShem-יהו"ה] he was willing to disgrace himself (Mevazeh-מבזה) in relation to those greater than himself and on account of this, he is called, “Son of man-Ben Adam-בן אדם,” a term indicating his perfection over all others of his generation. He thus is also called “exalted-Ram-רם,” as it states [about Elihu],379Job 32:2 “The son of Barachel, the Buzi (הבוזי) from the house of Ram (רם),” indicating his greatness over everyone because of his great humility.”
