וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ יָד֨וֹ הַמַּלְאָ֥ךְ ׀ יְרֽוּשָׁלִַם֮ לְשַׁחֲתָהּ֒ וַיִּנָּ֤חֶם יְהוָה֙ אֶל־הָ֣רָעָ֔ה וַ֠יֹּאמֶר לַמַּלְאָ֞ךְ הַמַּשְׁחִ֤ית בָּעָם֙ רַ֔ב עַתָּ֖ה הֶ֣רֶף יָדֶ֑ךָ וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ יְהוָה֙ הָיָ֔ה עִם־גֹּ֖רֶן האורנה [הָאֲרַ֥וְנָה] הַיְבֻסִֽי׃ (ס)
Ketika malaikat itu mengulurkan tangannya ke arah Yerusalem untuk membinasakannya, Yang Mahakekal berbalik dari malapetaka itu. Ia berfirman kepada malaikat yang membinasakan rakyat itu: “Cukuplah! Sekarang tahanlah tanganmu.” Saat itu malaikat Yang Mahakekal berada dekat tempat pengirikan Arauna, orang Yebus.

And G-d sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. And, as he destroyed, the L-rd saw and He bethought Himself of the evil. And He said to the angel devastating the people: "Enough! Now stay your hand!" And the angel of the L-rd was standing by the threshing floor of Arnan the Yevusite.
