ה֣וּא ׀ הֵסִ֣יר אֶת־הַבָּמ֗וֹת וְשִׁבַּר֙ אֶת־הַמַּצֵּבֹ֔ת וְכָרַ֖ת אֶת־הָֽאֲשֵׁרָ֑ה וְכִתַּת֩ נְחַ֨שׁ הַנְּחֹ֜שֶׁת אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֣ה מֹשֶׁ֗ה כִּ֣י עַד־הַיָּמִ֤ים הָהֵ֙מָּה֙ הָי֤וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מְקַטְּרִ֣ים ל֔וֹ וַיִּקְרָא־ל֖וֹ נְחֻשְׁתָּֽן׃
Dialah yang menyingkirkan bukit-bukit pengorbanan, menghancurkan tugu-tugu berhala, dan menebang tiang Asyera. Ia juga meremukkan ular tembaga yang dijadikan oleh Musa, sebab sampai masa itu orang Israel masih membakar ukupan bagi ular itu. Ia menyebutnya Nehustan.
