הֵן֩ גֵּרַ֨שְׁתָּ אֹתִ֜י הַיּ֗וֹם מֵעַל֙ פְּנֵ֣י הָֽאֲדָמָ֔ה וּמִפָּנֶ֖יךָ אֶסָּתֵ֑ר וְהָיִ֜יתִי נָ֤ע וָנָד֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ וְהָיָ֥ה כָל־מֹצְאִ֖י יַֽהַרְגֵֽנִי׃

Ecco tu ora mi scacci dalla faccia della terra, ed io sarò rimosso dal tuo cospetto [abbandonato dalla Provvidenza]; sarò errante ed irrequieto per la terra, ed allora chiunque mi troverà potrà uccidermi.
