הַיּ֧וֹם הַחִלֹּ֛תִי לשאול־[לִשְׁאָל־] ל֥וֹ בֵאלֹהִ֖ים חָלִ֣ילָה לִּ֑י אַל־יָשֵׂם֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ בְּעַבְדּ֤וֹ דָבָר֙ בְּכָל־בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֔י כִּ֠י לֹֽא־יָדַ֤ע עַבְדְּךָ֙ בְּכָל־זֹ֔את דָּבָ֥ר קָטֹ֖ן א֥וֹ גָדֽוֹל׃
Oggi ho iniziato a indagare su Dio per lui? sia lontano da me; non lasciare che il re imputi nulla al suo servo, né a tutta la casa di mio padre; poiché il tuo servitore non sa nulla di tutto questo, di meno o di più.'
