וְעַתָּ֣ה כָל־נְבִיאֵ֣י הַבַּ֡עַל כָּל־עֹבְדָ֣יו וְכָל־כֹּהֲנָיו֩ קִרְא֨וּ אֵלַ֜י אִ֣ישׁ אַל־יִפָּקֵ֗ד כִּי֩ זֶ֨בַח גָּד֥וֹל לִי֙ לַבַּ֔עַל כֹּ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־יִפָּקֵ֖ד לֹ֣א יִֽחְיֶ֑ה וְיֵהוּא֙ עָשָׂ֣ה בְעָקְבָּ֔ה לְמַ֥עַן הַאֲבִ֖יד אֶת־עֹבְדֵ֥י הַבָּֽעַל׃

Ora dunque chiamami tutti i profeti di Baal, tutti i suoi adoratori e tutti i suoi sacerdoti, che nessuno lo desideri; poiché ho un grande sacrificio da fare a Baal; chiunque vorrà, non vivrà.' Ma Jehu lo fece sottilmente, con l'intento di poter distruggere gli adoratori di Baal.
