וְלִיהֽוֹנָתָן֙ בֶּן־שָׁא֔וּל בֵּ֖ן נְכֵ֣ה רַגְלָ֑יִם בֶּן־חָמֵ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֣ים הָיָ֡ה בְּבֹ֣א שְׁמֻעַת֩ שָׁא֨וּל וִיהֽוֹנָתָ֜ן מִֽיִּזְרְעֶ֗אל וַתִּשָּׂאֵ֤הוּ אֹֽמַנְתּוֹ֙ וַתָּנֹ֔ס וַיְהִ֞י בְּחָפְזָ֥הּ לָנ֛וּס וַיִּפֹּ֥ל וַיִּפָּסֵ֖חַ וּשְׁמ֥וֹ מְפִיבֹֽשֶׁת׃
Ora Jonathan, Saul's figlio, aveva un figlio che era zoppo dei suoi piedi. Aveva cinque anni quando arrivarono le notizie di Saul e Jonathan da Jezreel, e la sua infermiera lo prese e fuggì; e avvenne, mentre si affrettava a fuggire, che cadde e divenne zoppo. E il suo nome era Mephibosheth.
