וְעַתָּ֞ה שִׁמְעִי־זֹ֤את עֲדִינָה֙ הַיּוֹשֶׁ֣בֶת לָבֶ֔טַח הָאֹֽמְרָה֙ בִּלְבָ֔בָהּ אֲנִ֖י וְאַפְסִ֣י ע֑וֹד לֹ֤א אֵשֵׁב֙ אַלְמָנָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א אֵדַ֖ע שְׁכֽוֹל׃
Ora dunque ascolta questo, tu che sei dato ai piaceri, che sei seduto saldamente, che dici nel tuo cuore: 'Lo sono, e non c'è nessun altro accanto a me; Non mi siederò come vedova, né conoscerò la perdita di figli';
