מִן־הַיּ֗וֹם אֲשֶׁ֨ר הוֹצֵ֜אתִי אֶת־עַמִּ֣י אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ מִמִּצְרַיִם֒ לֹֽא־בָחַ֣רְתִּי בְעִ֗יר מִכֹּל֙ שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לִבְנ֣וֹת בַּ֔יִת לִהְי֥וֹת שְׁמִ֖י שָׁ֑ם וָאֶבְחַ֣ר בְּדָוִ֔ד לִֽהְי֖וֹת עַל־עַמִּ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Od czasu, któregom wywiódł lud Mój izraelski z Egiptu, nie wybrałem dotąd miasta ze wszystkich pokoleń izraelskich dla zbudowania domu, w którymby przebywało imię Moje; ale teraz wybrałem Dawida, aby był władcą nad ludem Moim izraelskim.

“From the day” [8:16]. God said: from the day that I took Israel from Egypt, I have not chosen a city from all the tribes of Israel to build My house that My name should be on it. However, I have chosen David to be a king over Israel.
