וְהָי֣וּ בְךָ֔ לְא֖וֹת וּלְמוֹפֵ֑ת וּֽבְזַרְעֲךָ֖ עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃

A będą one znamieniem i oznaką na tobie i na rodzie twoim na wieki. 

Ibn Ezra

a sign from God , reminding you of your rebellion against Him. Not only shall the sign be against you, but it shall also be against your descendants (as in “our fathers have sinned, and are no more…” [Lamentations 5: 7]), as I have elsewhere mentioned [cf. comment on Leviticus 26: 39].

לאות, that the one cursing his enemy wishes the cursed to be like himself. Furthermore, being accursed is also a sign that the victim did not serve His G’d.
