בֶּן־שְׁמֹנִ֣ים שָׁנָה֩ אָנֹכִ֨י הַיּ֜וֹם הַאֵדַ֣ע ׀ בֵּין־ט֣וֹב לְרָ֗ע אִם־יִטְעַ֤ם עַבְדְּךָ֙ אֶת־אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֹכַל֙ וְאֶת־אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶשְׁתֶּ֔ה אִם־אֶשְׁמַ֣ע ע֔וֹד בְּק֖וֹל שָׁרִ֣ים וְשָׁר֑וֹת וְלָמָּה֩ יִֽהְיֶ֨ה עַבְדְּךָ֥ עוֹד֙ לְמַשָּׂ֔א אֶל־אֲדֹנִ֖י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
Ośmdziesiąt lat mi dzisiaj, czyżbym mógł jeszcze rozróżnić między dobrem i złem, albo czyżby odczuł sługa twój jakiś smak w tem cobym spożył albo wypił, czyż przysłuchiwać mi się jeszcze głosowi śpiewaków lub śpiewaczek - czemuż by tedy miał sługa twój być jeszcze ciężarem panu mojemu, królowi?

Can your servant taste what he eats and drinks?" And the Rabbis said "He removes the speech of men of trust and takes away the understanding of the aged"
