Cytowanie Komentarza do Królów I 15:14

From David to Destruction

Regarding Asa, the text does not use the fact that he does not remove the Bamot to detract from his status as a righteous king. Melachim I 15:11 compares Asa to David HaMelech. Then, Melachim I 15:14 mentions Asa’s failure to remove the Bamot. Nevertheless, Sefer Melachim’s summary of Asa’s reign concludes that “Asa’s heart was whole with Hashem all his days.” Thus, Sefer Melachim overall characterizes Asa as a righteous ruler.
