וַיַּ֥עַל מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֶל־הָהָ֑ר וַיְכַ֥ס הֶעָנָ֖ן אֶת־הָהָֽר׃

I wstąpił Mojżesz na górę, i zakrył obłok górę.

Rashbam

אתה ואהרן; immediately after being told this Moses descended. ויספר לעם את כל דברי ה' וגו'. A reference to Exodus 20, 20-21. On the morrow he built an altar, offered sacrifices, and still on the same day he ascended to where the cloud enveloped him for the duration of 6 days (verse 15).

The word is transitive and means that in his thoughts Avraham moved the mountain. The “thoughts” are the highest emanation הר which the mountain of Moriah represents. You will find a similar expression in connection with Moses when the Torah writes (Exodus 24,15) ויעל משה אל ההר, “Moses ascended the mountain.” You know that Onkelos translates the words על ההר in that instance as לטורא “to the mountain,” not “on the mountain.” This is also what is meant when the Torah says in Exodus 19,3 ויעל משה אל האלוקים “Moses ascended to G’d.”

Keritot 8b wird an dem den גר hinsichtlich der Opfer gleichstellenden Ausspruch: כאשר תעשו כן יעשה (V. 15) noch die Halacha gelehrt, daß auch zum vollen Eintritt des גר ins Judentum, außer מילה וטבילה, auch ein Opfer, הרצאת דמים gehöre, sowie Israels Eintritt in den Gesetzesbund (Schmot 24, 5) auch einen Ausdruck im Opfer hatte, und zwar hatte, so lange der Tempel stand, ein גר nach מילה וטבילה ein עולה von בהמה oder שני בני יונה או שני תורים ,עף, zu bringen und war so lange vom Genusse der Heiligtümer ausgeschlossen, מעוכב לאכול בקדשים עד שיביא קינו.
