וַיִּבֶן֩ שָׁ֨ם דָּוִ֤ד מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה וַיַּ֥עַל עֹל֖וֹת וּשְׁלָמִ֑ים וַיֵּעָתֵ֤ר יְהוָה֙ לָאָ֔רֶץ וַתֵּעָצַ֥ר הַמַּגֵּפָ֖ה מֵעַ֥ל יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Poczem zbudował tam Dawid ołtarz Wiekuistemu, i złożył całopalenia i ofiary opłatne. I dał się Wiekuisty ubłagać krajowi, a powstrzymana została zaraza od Izraela.

And David built there an altar to the L-rd, and he offered up burnt-offerings and peace-offerings. And he called to the L-rd, and He answered him with fire from heaven on the altar of the burnt-offering.
