וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֵ֣ם הַנַּ֔עַר חַי־יְהוָ֥ה וְחֵֽי־נַפְשְׁךָ֖ אִם־אֶעֶזְבֶ֑ךָּ וַיָּ֖קָם וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ אַחֲרֶֽיהָ׃
Ale matka chłopca rzekła: Jako żyw Wiekuisty i jako żywa dusza twoja, że cię nie puszczę! I tak powstał i poszedł za nią.

Rab Nahman b. Isaac retorted : But that is likewise true of Elisha ; for it is written, "And he arose and followed her" (II Kings iv. 30) — here also he actually walked behind her ! Nay ; [it means that Elisha] followed her words and advice, and so also [in the instance of Manoah] he followed her words and advice.
