וַיִּתְעַבֵּ֨ר יְהוָ֥ה בִּי֙ לְמַ֣עַנְכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א שָׁמַ֖ע אֵלָ֑י וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֤ה אֵלַי֙ רַב־לָ֔ךְ אַל־תּ֗וֹסֶף דַּבֵּ֥ר אֵלַ֛י ע֖וֹד בַּדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה׃
Ale uniósł się Wiekuisty na mnie z przyczyny waszej, i nie wysłuchał mnie; i rzekł Wiekuisty do mnie: "Dosyć tobie; nie mów więcej do Mnie w sprawie tej;

R. Eleazar said : Greater is prayer than good deeds ; for thou hast no one greater in good deeds than Moses, our teacher, nevertheless he was only answered through prayer ; as it is said, "Speak no more unto Me of this matter" (ibid. v. 26), which is followed by, "Get thee up into the top of Pisgah" (ibid. v. 27).
