וַיָּ֤רֶב הָעָם֙ עִם־מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ תְּנוּ־לָ֥נוּ מַ֖יִם וְנִשְׁתֶּ֑ה וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהֶם֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה מַה־תְּרִיבוּן֙ עִמָּדִ֔י מַה־תְּנַסּ֖וּן אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃
I swarzył się lud z Mojżeszem i rzekli: "Dajcie nam wody, abyśmy pili!" I rzekł do nich Mojżesz: "Czemu swarzycie się ze mną? Czemu doświadczacie Wiekuistego?"
Targum Jonathan on Exodus
And the wicked of the people contended with Mosheh, and said, Give us water, that we may drink. And Mosheh said to them, Why contend you with me? and why tempt you before the Lord?
