וַיִּרְגַּ֣ז הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ וַיַּ֛עַל עַל־עֲלִיַּ֥ת הַשַּׁ֖עַר וַיֵּ֑בְךְּ וְכֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר בְּלֶכְתּ֗וֹ בְּנִ֤י אַבְשָׁלוֹם֙ בְּנִ֣י בְנִ֣י אַבְשָׁל֔וֹם מִֽי־יִתֵּ֤ן מוּתִי֙ אֲנִ֣י תַחְתֶּ֔יךָ אַבְשָׁל֖וֹם בְּנִ֥י בְנִֽי׃

Disseram a Joabe:  Eis que o rei está chorando e se lamentando por Absalão.

My son, my son. Eight times.1Dovid said the word בְּנִי eight times, five times in this verse and another three times later in verse 5. Our Rabbis said,2Sotah 10b. Seven of those times to lift him out of the seven levels of Gehennom and one to to bring him into the World to Come.
