Итак, приходите, позвольте мне, я прошу вас, дать вам совет, чтобы вы могли спасти свою жизнь и жизнь своего сына Соломона.
Tze'enah Ure'enah
“Now, take my advice, etc.” [1:12]. Therefore, I am now giving you advice. You should escape, so that there should not be great quarrels after the death of King David. Your son, Solomon, will want to be king, as the Holy One promised him that he would be king. Now, when Adonijah will become king and will have warriors, Solomon will have to wage war with Adonijah for the kingship. It will also be a disgrace for you that you will have to serve Adonijah. Therefore, I am advising you, go immediately to King David and say to him. You swore to me that my son Solomon would be king after your death. Why has your son Adonijah become king? Here one asks a question. Why did King David swear that the son that she would have would become king and who forced David to take an oath? The answer is that the first child that Bathsheba had with David died. The whole world said that it died because of the sin that David committed, that he allowed Uriah to be killed and took his wife Bathsheba to be his wife. Therefore, Bathsheba said to David. If I will have children with you and they will live, then the people will shame these children and will humiliate them. Therefore, I do not want to sleep with you. David became frightened and swore to her that her first son who will live would become king after his death. Now, Nathan the prophet knew everything prophetically, that David had taken an oath that the firstborn son of Bathsheba would become king, and Solomon was the firstborn son of Bathsheba. Therefore, Nathan said, go to David and while you are speaking with David, I will come and support your words.11Radak, I Kings, 1:13.

And you will save your life. From the rivalry which will follow the death of the king, for your son will wish to reign, as the Holy One Blessed Is He, had promised him.
