И сказал Самуил: как твой меч сделал женщин бездетными, так будет и твоя мать бездетной среди женщин. Самуил разрезал Агага на куски перед Господом в Галгале.

“Samuel said” [15:33]. Samuel said to Agag: you have made many women widows and have castrated many men. You threw their circumcision to heaven and said to the Holy One: take the circumcision that you commanded Israel. [Shmuel] cut. He cut him into four pieces. This word has no likeness [in Scripture]. The Targum renders וַיְשַׁסֵּף as וּפָשַׁח. And in our Gemara we find, 'he broke off [מפשח] a branch, and gave us several twigs,'32 Beitzah 33b. meaning that he split.33 See Rashi’s commentary in Eichah 3:11.
