חָשַׁ֤ךְ מִשְּׁחוֹר֙ תָּֽאֳרָ֔ם לֹ֥א נִכְּר֖וּ בַּחוּצ֑וֹת צָפַ֤ד עוֹרָם֙ עַל־עַצְמָ֔ם יָבֵ֖שׁ הָיָ֥ה כָעֵֽץ׃ (ס)

Их облик чернее угля; Они не известны на улицах; Их кожа сморщена на костях; Оно засохло, оно стало как палка.

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“Dark” [4:8]. Now their figures are blackened and one does not recognize them in the streets, their skin is shrunken on their bones, dry as wood.
