וַיִּֽירְא֤וּ הָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙ יִרְאָ֣ה גְדוֹלָ֔ה וַיֹּאמְר֥וּ אֵלָ֖יו מַה־זֹּ֣את עָשִׂ֑יתָ כִּֽי־יָדְע֣וּ הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים כִּֽי־מִלִּפְנֵ֤י יְהוָה֙ ה֣וּא בֹרֵ֔חַ כִּ֥י הִגִּ֖יד לָהֶֽם׃
Тогда люди очень испугались и сказали ему: 'Что это ты сделал?' Ибо люди знали, что он убежал от лица Господня, потому что Он сказал им.

In spite of the absence of sacrifices then, we have G'ds assurance "this will be an eternal statute for you to atone for the children of Israel." (Leviticus 16,34)
