כִּ֤י רֶ֨גַע ׀ בְּאַפּוֹ֮ חַיִּ֪ים בִּרְצ֫וֹנ֥וֹ בָּ֭עֶרֶב יָלִ֥ין בֶּ֗כִי וְלַבֹּ֥קֶר רִנָּֽה׃
Ибо Его гнев на мгновение, Его милость на всю жизнь; Плач может остаться на ночь, но утром приходит радость.

Whence do we know that He is angry but for a moment? As it is said, "For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for a life-time" (Ps. 30:6). Or if thou wilt, I can say it may be deduced from the following : "Hide thyself for a moment until the indignation be overpast" (Is. xxvi. 20).
