וַיִּנָּֽגְע֛וּ יְהוֹשֻׁ֥עַ וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לִפְנֵיהֶ֑ם וַיָּנֻ֖סוּ דֶּ֥רֶךְ הַמִּדְבָּֽר׃
И сделал Иисус, и весь Израиль, как будто они были избиты перед ними и убежали путем пустыни.

He [the man] saw that he could not defeat him, and he struck the socket of his hip. Yaakov’s hip joint was dislocated as he wrestled with him.
