וּמַכֵּ֥ה נֶֽפֶשׁ־בְּהֵמָ֖ה יְשַׁלְּמֶ֑נָּה נֶ֖פֶשׁ תַּ֥חַת נָֽפֶשׁ׃

Targum Jonathan on Leviticus
And he who destroyeth the life of an animal shall make it good, a living animal for a living one.
