This (Zot) shall be the law regarding the metzora (person with tzaraat: And it is known that a metzora brings out evil (motzi ra). As the blemishes come on account of evil speech. So Scripture says that after he repents and fixes his deeds, he engenders a repair of the Divine Presence that is called Zot, through his repentance and his Torah study. And this is [the meaning of], "Zot shall be the law regarding the metzora" - the understanding is that the law of the metzora shall be Zot, that it repair the Divine Presence that is called Zot. It shall be "on the day of his purification, he shall be brought to the priest." The understanding of this is that on the day that he is purified from his sin, he can engender the elevation of the Divine Presence, to become unified with the Holy One, blessed be He. And this is [the meaning of], "he shall be brought to the priest" - the Holy One, blessed be He is called Priest. So after he elevated the Divine Presence, "The priest shall go out of the encampment." For the higher worlds are called the encampment, and this world is called, out of the encampment. "And the priest shall see." The understanding of this is that the Lord, may He blessed, blessed be He, supervises this world to impact upon it. "And behold, the tzaraat blemish has healed." The understanding of that is that all of the harsh judgements are sweetened, "from the person with tzaraat." All this shall be from the person with tzaraat, as he will cause all of this with his full repentance. And this is [the meaning of] (Psalms 104:31), "May the glory of the Lord endure forever." For the Divine Presence is called glory (kavod). So that when the Glory of the Lord is forever (leolam) - which is that the Divine Presence ascends to the higher world (leolam haelyon) - then "the Lord shall rejoice in His works." Meaning, in the good actions that He will generate upon us, all the good and the blessing. Amen, may it be His will!

and when the deed and Hakadosh Baruch Hu are in proper replair and worder, then Hakadosh Baruch Hu rejoices in them and delights in them, as is written (ibid. 104): "Hashem will rejoice with his works," like someone who does a work, who makes some object, and the object is beautiful, then he rejoices in it; and the joy of Hakadosh Baruch Hu is clothed in the mitzvot, for they are his unity,

And this is the explanation of the verse (Isaiah 61:10), "I will greatly rejoice (or, as understood here, Joy, I will rejoice) in the Lord": This means to say that a person rejoice in that which he brings joy with his actions to the Holy One, blessed be He. And that is the understanding of "joy" - that I am joyful and happy about that which "I will rejoice in the Lord," that I cause joy, that I bring joy to the Creator, blessed be He; as it were, I bring joy. And our master, our teacher, our rabbi, the holy light, our teacher, the rabbi, Rabbi Dov Berish, may his memory be for a blessing in the world to come, also spoke about this verse in this fashion: "Joy, I will rejoice in the Lord" - that I will rejoice in that which I made the Creator, blessed be He, rejoice with commandments. However our words are that I rejoice in [the actual reality of] that which I cause joy to the Creator, blessed be He. And that is an obligation for every person, that he should rejoice in that which the holy God rejoices in him and delights in his service. And behold, if a person is modest and say, "What am I, and what is my life, that I should cause joy to the Creator, blessed be He," he should then understand in his heart and say in his heart, "This is truly one of the kindnesses of the Lord and of the wonders of the the Creator, blessed be He, that man who is formed from material should cause joy, pleasure and happiness to the Power of the powers and the Master of the masters, who is higher than all the high and loftier than all the lofty." It is like the poet said (Psalms 104:31), "may the Lord rejoice in His creatures (maasav, those that He made)." And it is "in maasav," in the world of action assiyah, the lower world, that he makes a pleasant spirit for the Creator, blessed be He. Since God, blessed be He, [derives] a pleasant spirit from people that are from the seed of Israel, His servant; from these great delights, He brings down the bountiful flow to all Created, Formed and Made. And so too wrote the hymnist, "He set up and cast His cornerstone in order to delight in His fear."
