Komentaryo sa 2 Mga Hari 4:30: Tze'enah Ure'enah & Metzudat David

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“The boy’s mother said: as the Lord lives, and as you live, etc.” [4:30]. The mother said to Elisha. As God lives and by your life, I will not leave you. You must go with me. Elisha went with her. Gehazi ran ahead and put the staff on the dead child, and he did not move. Gehazi ran toward Elisha and said: the child won’t get up or wake up. That is, he remains dead. Elisha came to the house and the child lay dead on his bed.
