דּ֣וֹר לְ֭דוֹר יְשַׁבַּ֣ח מַעֲשֶׂ֑יךָ וּגְב֖וּרֹתֶ֣יךָ יַגִּֽידוּ׃
Ang isang salinlahi ay magpupuri sa Iyong mga gawa sa susunod na salinlahi, at ipahahayag nila ang Iyong makapangyarihang mga gawa.

One generation to another: Even if the lives of human beings were long, they would not be able to comprehend all of His greatness in their lifetimes, especially since their lives are short. What should they do given the brevity of their days? Since one generation passes away and another comes, the departing generation should recount to the next generation the wondrous deeds and mighty acts they witnessed during their lifetimes. Thus, the next generation will praise Him for what was told to them about the past and for what they will witness in their own time.
