If the spirit which rules all fails and they prophesy, my words will be fulfilled on those who rise against me (Ps. 92:12). Is Saul also among the prophets? (I Sam. 10:11). This you will answer, And who is their father? (I Sam. 10:12). These things go after the intention of the heart. I, in my innocence (Ps. 26:1), plead before my judges: Let him judge all the words of this epistle leniently in its quantity and quality. If my soul does not speak from worry (Josh. 22:24), consider me as one who mentions and reminds the enlightened ones of my bountiful nation (Song 6:12). “Dear is man, who was created in [God’s] image” (Avot 3:15). Speaking as a righteous company (Ps. 58:2), He will judge righteousness. For my heart is not haughty (Ps. 131:1), all my senses are in me (Job 20:2), and my eyes are not haughty (Ps. 131:1) before the God of Sinai (Ps, 68:9). I have not walked in greatness or wonders (Ps. 131:1) with the King, the Lord of Hosts (Isa. 6:5). For the maidservant has seen7The reference is to the midrash which states that a maidservant at the parting of the Red Sea saw more than the prophet Ezekiel in his visions. Cf. Mekhilta, Shirta 3. and is more righteous than I (Gen. 38:26). I am lighter [in consequence] than she is (II Sam. 6:22). I am lower than the earth (Isa. 29:4). I speak in honor of our God, who dwells in Zion (Josh. 4:21). And He, being merciful, will forgive [my] sin (Ps. 78:38).

Also in the Tikkunei Zohar in the 37th Correction: 8. HE EXPLAINS FURTHER, the three Klipot of the foreskin are CALLED destroyer, anger and wrath. Against the covered skin is THE KLIPAH iniquity AS THROUGH UNCOVERING ITS POWER IS VOIDED. This is why a part of the prayer was composed against them, THAT IS, TO VOID THEM, TO SAY, “But he was full of compassion, forgiving iniquity” (Tehilim 78:38), AGAINST THE KLIPAH OF iniquity; “and he did not destroy them” (Ibid.), is AGAINST THE KLIPAH OF the destroyer; “often he turned away his anger” AGAINST THE KLIPAH OF anger; “not stirring up all his wrath” (Ibid.) AGAINST THE KLIPAH OF wrath. Whoever inserts the sign of the covenant in a foreign domain, A MENSTRUATING WOMAN, A HANDMAID, A GENTILE WOMAN OR A PROSTITUTE, these four KLIPOT rule over him, as written, “And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth” (Beresheet 7:19). The earth is one’s body, WHICH HE GIVES TO THE FOUR KLIPOT, BY WHOSE HANDS HE IS PUNISHED. It says four times in the portion of Noach, “And the waters prevailed” (Ibid. 18), WHICH MEANS THAT they prevailed against them, THAT IS, THESE FOUR MENTIONS ARE AGAINST THE TWO KLIPOT, INIQUITY AND DESTROYER, ANGER AND WRATH THAT PUNISH HE WHO INSERTS HIS MEMBER OF THE COVENANT INTO THE FOUR, A MENSTRUATING WOMAN, A HANDMAID, A GENTILE WOMAN OR A PROSTITUTE, as has already been explained.

How so? We already explained that the Supernal Crown-Keter Elyon is the name Eheye”h-אהי״ה, that the middle line is HaShem-יהו״ה, blessed is He, and that the secret of Kingship-Malchut is His title Lord-Adona”y-אדנ״י. These Sefirot are the end, beginning and middle, and each has a term in Torah that hint at it. How so? Because of His great concealment, His name Eheye”h-אהי״ה is hinted with the word “He-Hoo-הוא,” like someone who is not before one’s eyes. This is why it is only hinted in various places in Torah, being that it is the World of Mercy and from it forgiveness and atonement comes about, as we explained in this gate. He overrides all kinds of harsh judgments and nullifies them with His revelation. The verse therefore states,295Psalms 78:38 “But He-Hoo-הוא, the Merciful One, forgives iniquity and does not destroy, He frequently withdraws His anger, and does not arouse all wrath.” Contemplate this verse and you will see how many matters have been explained in this Gate, all of which are included in this verse. About this the verse hints,296Deuteronomy 32:4 “Righteous and fair is He-Hoo-הוא.”
