Responsa para sa Mga Bilang 11:29

Beyond this, the saying of Kaddish itself is a commandment [mitvah] for the one saying it and for the ones answering amen after it. Additionally, there is the honoring of one's parents, which is done within the Jewish community through this holy and sublime means via the saying of the Kaddish for the rest of the soul, which is [in turn] testimony and full acknowledgment of faith in reward and punishment in the world to come, one of the cornerstones [of our faith]. With the addition of all these special qualities, I say, leave it to the Jewish people [to intuit what is proper]! It would certainly be good if all of the people would be from those who come to the synagogue to pray regularly with the community, and would it only be that all of the Lord's people would be holy, such that the Lord will place His spirit upon them [alluding to Numbers 11:29]. Regardless, even those who come to the synagogue only for the purpose of saying Kaddish, there is still an angle of holiness and commandment in this.
