וְהִצִּ֨ילוּ הָעֵדָ֜ה אֶת־הָרֹצֵ֗חַ מִיַּד֮ גֹּאֵ֣ל הַדָּם֒ וְהֵשִׁ֤יבוּ אֹתוֹ֙ הָֽעֵדָ֔ה אֶל־עִ֥יר מִקְלָט֖וֹ אֲשֶׁר־נָ֣ס שָׁ֑מָּה וְיָ֣שַׁב בָּ֗הּ עַד־מוֹת֙ הַכֹּהֵ֣ן הַגָּדֹ֔ל אֲשֶׁר־מָשַׁ֥ח אֹת֖וֹ בְּשֶׁ֥מֶן הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃
Ililigtas ng kapulungan ang nakapatay ng tao mula sa kamay ng tagapaghiganti ng dugo, at ibabalik siya ng kapulungan sa kanyang lungsod-kanlungan na tinakasan niya; at doon siya maninirahan hanggang sa mamatay ang punong saserdote na pinahiran ng banal na langis.

Lest the blood-redeemer pursue the murderer when his heart grows heated, and he catches up with him over the length of the road and he smite him dead when he has no death sentence because he had not been his enemy yesterday [or] the day before.

and the blood avenger finds him outside the border of his refuge city, and the blood avenger kills the murderer, he has no blood.
