וַיִּבְרַ֤ח יִפְתָּח֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י אֶחָ֔יו וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב בְּאֶ֣רֶץ ט֑וֹב וַיִּֽתְלַקְּט֤וּ אֶל־יִפְתָּח֙ אֲנָשִׁ֣ים רֵיקִ֔ים וַיֵּצְא֖וּ עִמּֽוֹ׃ (פ)
Kaya tumakas si Jefte mula sa kanyang mga kapatid at nanirahan sa lupain ng Tob. May mga lalaking walang kabuluhan na nagtipon kay Jefte, at sumama sila sa kanya tuwing siya'y lumalabas.
