וְהָי֨וּ לָכֶ֧ם הֶעָרִ֛ים לְמִקְלָ֖ט מִגֹּאֵ֑ל וְלֹ֤א יָמוּת֙ הָרֹצֵ֔חַ עַד־עָמְד֛וֹ לִפְנֵ֥י הָעֵדָ֖ה לַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
Ang mga lungsod na ito ay magiging kanlungan ninyo mula sa tagapaghiganti, upang hindi mamatay ang nakapatay ng tao hangga't hindi pa siya humaharap sa kapulungan upang hatulan.
Targum Jonathan
And they shall be to you for cities of refuge for the manslayer from the avenger of blood, that the man may not be put to death till he shall have stood before the congregation for judgment.
