עַתָּה֮ רֽוּץ־נָ֣א לִקְרָאתָהּ֒ וֶאֱמָר־לָ֗הּ הֲשָׁל֥וֹם לָ֛ךְ הֲשָׁל֥וֹם לְאִישֵׁ֖ךְ הֲשָׁל֣וֹם לַיָּ֑לֶד וַתֹּ֖אמֶר שָׁלֽוֹם׃
אַצונד לױף אַקאָרשט איר אַנטקעגן, און זאָג צו איר: איז פֿריד צו דיר? איז פֿריד צו דײַן מאַן? איז פֿריד צום קינד? האָט זי געזאָגט: פֿריד.
Rashi
And she said, “[All is] well.” This is an abbreviated verse, for it should have been written, “And he asked her, and she said, ‘We are well.’”

Then he asked her, she said to him all is well, and she didn't want to reveal it to him also.
