The Third Beit HaMikdash

The prophecy continues:20Yechezkel 37:23-24. “Nor shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; I will save them… David… shall be king… they will follow My judgments” – i.e., the judgments that they despised previously and exchanged for idol worship – “and perform them,” observing the judgments, the statutes of our holy Torah, that they despised in the days of Yechezkel. This prophecy thus serves as testimony to the eternal nature of the Torah’s laws, indicating that they will not change. “They will dwell in the land…, they and their children, and their descendants forever.”21Ibid.:25. We were exiled from Eretz Yisrael, and have not yet dwelt in it. Thus, this prophecy has not yet come to fruition. Ultimately, it will. We will return and dwell in our land for all time.
