הִנֵּ֨ה כְעֵינֵ֪י עֲבָדִ֡ים אֶל־יַ֤ד אֲֽדוֹנֵיהֶ֗ם כְּעֵינֵ֣י שִׁפְחָה֮ אֶל־יַ֪ד גְּבִ֫רְתָּ֥הּ כֵּ֣ן עֵ֭ינֵינוּ אֶל־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ עַ֝֗ד שֶׁיְּחָנֵּֽנוּ׃
זע, װי די אױגן פֿון קנעכטצו דער האַנט פֿון זײער האַר, װי די אױגן פֿון אַ דינסטצו דער האַנט פֿון איר האַרינטע, אַזױ זײַנען אונדזערע אױגן צו ה׳ אונדזער גאָט, ביז ער װעט אונדז לײַטזעליקן.
Duties of the Heart
(6) A slave who does not have the ability to redeem himself (purchase freedom) from the hand of his master and becomes submissive towards him as written "Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters" (Tehilim 123:2).
