Sefat Emet

In the Midrash, 'Forever, O Lord, Your word stands firm in the heavens.' As it is said in the name of the Baal Shem Tov, that the statement 'Let there be a firmament' gives life at every moment to the firmament, and so all the statements of the Holy One, blessed be He, are alive and existing. And it turns out that the root of everything and its existence is the source and the point that extends from the statement of the Holy One, blessed be He. And this is the meaning of the shofar blasts, which are voice without speech, for speech is the division of the voice into separate and different movements. But the voice is one, singular, attached to its source. And today, on Rosh Hashanah, the vitality is attached to its root, as mentioned above, before division and transformation. And we want to attach ourselves to the inner essence of vitality, as mentioned above [see in the Siddur of the Rav of blessed memory].
