וְהָיִ֜יתָ מְמַשֵּׁ֣שׁ בַּֽצָּהֳרַ֗יִם כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יְמַשֵּׁ֤שׁ הָעִוֵּר֙ בָּאֲפֵלָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א תַצְלִ֖יחַ אֶת־דְּרָכֶ֑יךָ וְהָיִ֜יתָ אַ֣ךְ עָשׁ֧וּק וְגָז֛וּל כָּל־הַיָּמִ֖ים וְאֵ֥ין מוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃
און װעסט טאַפּן אין מיטן טאָג אַזױ װי אַ בלינדער טאַפּט אין דער פֿינצטער, און װעסט ניט באַגליקן אין דײַנע װעגן, און װעסט רק זײַן באַרױבט און באַגזלט אַלע טעג, און קײַנער װעט ניט העלפֿן.
Megillah
The Rabbis, however, hold that he does derive benefit, like R. Yose, as it has been taught: R. Jose said: ... All my life I was troubled by this verse, “And you shall grope at noonday as the blind gropes in darkness” (Deuteronomy 28:29). Now why should a blind person care whether it is dark or light?
