וַיִּגְבַּ֛ה יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת בַּמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט וְהָאֵל֙ הַקָּד֔וֹשׁ נִקְדָּ֖שׁ בִּצְדָקָֽה׃
און גאָט פֿון צבָאוֹת איז דערהױבן געװאָרן דורך רעכט, און דער הײליקער גאָט איז געהײליקט געװאָרן דורך גערעכטיקײט.
Berakhot
R. Eliezer said : Even if he used the phrase "holy God," he has complied with the requirements of the law ; as it is said, "But the Lord of hosts is exalted through justice, and the holy God is sanctified through righteousness" (Is. v. 16). When is "the Lord of hosts exalted through justice"? During the ten days from the New Year until the Day of Atonement, and yet it is stated thereby "the holy God" !
