כִּ֤י כְהַר־פְּרָצִים֙ יָק֣וּם יְהוָ֔ה כְּעֵ֖מֶק בְּגִבְע֣וֹן יִרְגָּ֑ז לַעֲשׂ֤וֹת מַעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ זָ֣ר מַעֲשֵׂ֔הוּ וְלַֽעֲבֹד֙ עֲבֹ֣דָת֔וֹ נָכְרִיָּ֖ה עֲבֹדָתֽוֹ׃
װאָרום אַזױ װי אױף באַרג פּרָצים װעט גאָט אױפֿשטײן, אַזױ װי אין טאָל פֿון גבֿעון װעט ער צערענען, צו טאָן זײַן טוּונג – פֿרעמד איז זײַן טוּונג, און צו װערקן זײַן װערק – אױסטערליש איז זײַן װערק.

Dovid asked of Adonoy, saying, "Should I go up [to fight] the Pelishtim? Will they be delivered into my hands?" Adonoy said to Dovid, "Go up, because I will deliver the Pelishtim into your hands."

Dovid came into the plain of Perotzim. Dovid smote them there and declared, "Adonoy has shatterred my enemies before me like water bursting over [walls]" Because of this, he called the name of that place the plain of Perotzim

[The Pelishtim] abandoned their idols there and Dovid and his men burnt them.
